Nice Little Fan For The Boat Cuddy Cabin December 30, 2008 We use this fan in our boat cuddy cabin. It's attractive relatively quiet. It moves air well and makes a huge difference in comfort. It's nice and steady due to the weight of the 4 D batteries in the base. The fan can be adjusted up/down on the base to get the direction of air-flow just right. We run it on low-speed to increase battery life, and this is adequate for comfort and low noise level.
Weak and cheap, but is what it is November 2, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
We bought two of these after Gustav hit this summer and we realized we'd be without power for weeks.br /They run fairly efficiently, when you can get the switch to stay in position. They'd run for several days on 4-D batteries when set to the low position. They also ran quite nicely on rechargeable alkaline batteries.br /They are too big to take camping, but we'll hang on to them for the next hurricane.br /br /Overall, I was disappointed with the build quality. They won't put up with any abuse, and I feel certain I'll be replacing the switch at some point. The exposed blade is soft foam and doesn't hurt, but is probably still not safe around little kids or cats.
Little Fan Does the Job! October 14, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We purchased two of these fans for a boating trip, and I'm sure glad we had them! We were in a tiny cabin with only a small porthole, and the fans did the job pushing the air around and keeping us comfortable. We used them for three nights on four D batteries, and they never ran out of juice! Great product!
Hurricane Ike Survivor October 10, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I ordered this product when Hurricane Gustav threatened and I used this product after Hurricane Ike knocked out my electricity for several days. It put out such a good flow of air on low, I never needed high speed. It is light enough to carry around and will fit almost any where. I recommended it to many of my friends and they all are planning to get one. I wish I had it after Hurrican Rita when it was unbearably hot.
nice affordable camp fan September 6, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
this fan is lightweight and worked great in my tent to keep me cool while desert camping. it's not super high-powered but it worked well and the batteries lasted the whole week (using it mostly in the morning and sometimes afternoon). the blades are soft because there's no cage, and it's easy to position the fan so it reaches you even on the floor.
