You can shut off the music, and it's wonderful! September 11, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
It's a good little pedometer! It has a lot of functions, and for this user the instructions are clear and easy to use. First you set your step length (easy), then you decide if you want music (easy to turn on or off), then you start walking. It's simple and great. It does talk, which is weird and funny to have a voice coming from your waist band, but it it's appropriately sensitive to steps and movement.
Serves its Purpose March 24, 2007 good product, except the clear button and the speak button are on the same side, and can cause you to clear your total count by accident. Wish it was on opposite side to prevent that from happening.
Disappointed January 16, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Save your money. I got this for Christmas thru Sharper Image Store and they charge $20 for it; first mistake. I've walked the same route 3 days in a row now and have gotten readings of 6225, 6350, and the last day 4720. It is not counting accurately. I did a test and counted out 100 steps with the device mounted to my belt. The reading was 35 steps. I would return it if i had a receipt but it was a gift. I am now here on amazon looking for a new one. DONT BUY IT!!
Can't Get Along Without It December 1, 2006 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have been using this item for 3 years now. When I originally purchasedbr /it I immediately bought another for back up. First one recently went throughbr /the rinse cycle. The only reason it failed. Just started using the otherbr /and have been searching on-line sites to keep one ahead.br /Never experienced a problem. Love the alarm, awaken on the first, "It is 5:00 am." I am thrilled to have found this item again. Thanks amazon.com.
Talking Pedometer November 10, 2006 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
This is a good item that works well. It is a bit sensitive to having the buttons touched, and occasionally when walking it will announce my steps and distance as it was brushed up against. I do recommend it and will be ordering more for my family.
