Multi-platinum recording artist Barenaked Ladies will release Snacktime, a collection of 24 original children?s songs through their imprint label Desperation Records. "Our collective kids now outnumber the band more than 2 to 1," explains vocalist/guitarist Ed Robertson. "We set out to make a record that would be entertaining for them ? not strictly a children?s record, but a record that children would really enjoy. Our kids are into all kinds of music. Making the focus about what our kids like was a truly liberating process and fun for the whole band."

 Snack Time is a Whole Lot of Fun! August 13, 2008
I bought Snack Time by Barenaked Ladies to take on a road trip and we all enjoyed it immensely. My husband and I are longtime fans of the band, so it was a treat to see they've made a children's album. Their song on the first "For the Kids" CD is excellent. It's got a great mix of original songs that both the kids and adults enjoy. My five year old's big winner is Track 3, "Polywog in a Bog." Two big thumbs up. Oh, and I like cheese for a snack.

I bought this for my nephew and it's one of my favorite CD's to listen to with him. The songs are silly and fun and aren't annoying like a lot of other childrens songs. Highly Recommend.

Great music! We are huge fans of They Might Be Giants, so I wanted to give this a chance. It is really fun and great for parents and kids alike. The downfall is the packaging! Why go cheap with cardboard slipsleeve? At leat give us the plastic CD case to protect the product!

I have loved BNL since Gordan, and I am so glad they did this kids album! I am getting my kids hooked on one of my favorite bands! Witty lyrics that kids get and adults can enjoy too. After we listen to this a little longer I plan on exposing my son to the 'real' BNL stuff, and I know he will enjoy it because he loves the kid album. We did this with They Might Be Giants, moving from the kids music to the adult, and now we can all listen to my favorite bands together! If you love The Ladies, you will love this CD! Now if we can just get They Might Be Giants and BNL to to a kids tour together...
