 Delightful, even after all these years! January 5, 2009
I first saw this movie many, many, moons ago, and found out that my Mom had never seen. Well, I made sure that this was one of her stocking stuffers for Christmas.br /br /We watched it the other night, and she said she couldn't believe she had not seen it before and that anyone who is looking for a fun, laugh filled evening needs to see it. As for me, well, I never tire of it.br /br /We can sympathize with some (Peter O'Toole and Steve Guttenberg), love to hate others (Beverly D'Angelo) and just shake our heads laughing at others (Jennifer Tilly and Peter Gallagher), look at some and say, I know someone like that (Liam Neeson).br /br /And of course it has one of my favorite actors, Donal McCann. This was the first movie I ever saw him in, and can picture no one else playing his character and being believable! Who else could pull off driving the bus, having a 'banshee' fall on top of it and never miss a beat when telling the tales of the haunted Castle Pluckett?!br /br /If you are looking for something like Thirteen Ghosts, move right along - this is a delightful and funny haunting! :)

High Spirits is about a man named Peter Plunkett whose castle in Ireland is haunted by ghosts again. He decides to have the staff pretend they are ghosts to scare some tourists. Among the tour guides are a couple named Jack and Sharon Crawford who are having problems in their relationship. It isnt until Jack meets the beautiful ghost, Mary, when he realizes his love for another person, well ghost that is! Very funny, exciting, and just pure fun!

I love Peter O'Toole whether in this flick or How to Steal a Million he is one of the best English Actors. Darrel Hannah had a lot of fun in her role along with Beverly D'Angelo. A lot of silly fun.

I LOVED THIS MOVIE,IT HAS LOTS OF COMEDY AND ROMANCE WITH A LOT OF SPIRIT!!!AMAZON WAS ABLE TO SEND IT TO ME FAST AND WITH A GOOD PRICE.I TRIED FIRST TO PURCHASE THIS FROM A LOCAL MALL AND THEY ORDERED IT FOR ME I WAITED 3 WEEKS AND IT WAS ON BACK ORDER.I FOUND AMAZON.COM ORDERED IT AND GOT IT IN LESS THEN 7 DAY !!!!!!GO AMAZON!!!!!!!!!!
