I had used a waterpik rechargable unit, but got frustrated with the inconveniences: charging it, filling and refilling it and then the battery died (~ 4 mos. of use). I just got this product and am thrilled at the low tech durable approach. My mouth is cleaner than it has been since I first got my waterpik, and knowing there is no battery to die, I know it will stay clean.
The added bonus- 6ft hose with tip removed is great for cleaning/rinsing tub as well as rinsing my toddler's hair without getting water/soap in her eyes! Maybe company will make hair rinsing attachment some day.
All in all great product.

My family and I love this product. Using the tap's water supply, we got strong enough jets to clean our teeth. The set is simple and durable.
I initially had some problems when I installed the diverter valve in reverse (it only works one way!) and there were no indications on this. It just assumes that the female thread is for inlet and male thread for the outlet. However, it didn't take too long to figure out from the illustrated installation sheet.
Easy Breezy October 6, 2008
This installed very easily, and quickly. The directions are very clear. I did need to use pliers to gently loosen the current shower fixture, just as the instructions suggested but no tools are needed to attach the Shower Breeze. A roll of Teflon tape is included in the package which I thought was a nice touch, it's not something everyone would have around or even know about if they've never done any DIY plumbing and you usually need Teflon tape when working with water fixtures.
I had put off purchasing this because I feared it wouldn't fit on my shower fixture, I live in an older mobile home but it's a perfect fit.
As to the price, yes maybe it is a bit pricey but considering you'll never need to replace it, as with the electric counter top models which seem to have the lifespan of a mayfly, I think this is a pretty good deal.
I like the ease of use, no setting up or taking apart, just use it, and it's quiet. I had a Water Pic that I loved for the whole eight weeks it worked, but, it was noisy, definitely not good for an apartment dweller.

This teeth cleaner is very good... no mess, since its in the shower and actually is fun to use. Customer service the best, if needed.

Only 4 stars because I haven't had a dental checkup yet...maybe, after meeting with the dentist I'll have to upgrade to 5 stars...
First, let me say I ordered this on 7/18 & received it on 7/21 -- that is fast shipping in my book.
Regarding installation: As others have noted, this was a breeze (pun intended) to set up. Just unscrew existing shower head, screw showerbreeze where old showerhead used to be, then re-screw showerhead to showerbreeze. Simple as that. No tools necessary (well, I needed a wrench to remove my old showerhead, but installing showerbreeze required only hand tightening). Plus, included in the package is plumbers tape which helps prevent leaks (it goes on the metal threads).
Regarding efficacy: I have only been using for a few days, so I have no idea if it will significantly improve dental health. I can, however, comment on my opinions as to how it will improve dental health. The focused spray of water on the gumline seems to be enough force to remove any plaque/debris in between teeth or under the gum line. You can feel the water move underneath the gums and between the teeth (as others have noted, the exact amount of pressure is controlled by a manual valve which allows you to increase/decrease pressure to your desired level). Speaking from a lay perspective, I think this product WILL help with periodontal related issues because of its ability to penetrate into the gumline and irrigate effectively. Furthermore, I think it will benefit those of us who dread flossing everyday; I find myself looking forward to using the OralBreeze in the morning and at night. I don't know if this is recommended to replace flossing, but it certainly can't hurt in conjunction with a regular oral hygiene regime.
Finally, I would say that the 6ft hose is perfect for the shower. I can move around and not feel like I am tethered to a line and forced into uncomfortable positions. I think a 3ft hose might be a little too short. Also, I believe there are other websites that offer a combination of this product and it's sink counterpart (quickbreeze?) at a discount. This might come in handy for those who want to use the showerbreeze, but don't have the inclination to take a shower as well. In any case, the ShowerBreeze turned out to be a nice surprise/purchase. Customer service is also prompt (I emailed oralbreeze and received a response in less than 24hrs -- FYI -> the different colored piks are exactly the same, just different colors).
Buy this product, you won't be disappointed.
